Section titled “Filter+Focus Refresh”Background
Section titled “Background”02_Strategy/Filter+Focus.md is the ranked master list of all MBR business ideas — the SSoT for what rocks to pursue in what order. It was last updated 2026-04-02 with 53 items.
Since then, the Threats-Weaknesses.md task (2026-04-07/08) generated a large volume of new brainstorming across two sessions:
- Round 1 (Threats & Weaknesses mitigations): 29 proposals across W1–W7 and T2/T4/T5
- Round 2 (Growth, Trust, Distribution): Inner Circles architecture, 8 testimonial strategies, 9 trust mechanisms for 1-Click Transfer, Cancer50Pledge partner proposals, healthcare/teachers/faith/alumni distribution models, media strategy, influencer strategy
- Round 3 (Financial Advisors + Business Ideas Workflow): 7 financial advisor opportunities
These ideas are currently scattered across the task file and are not reflected in the ranked master list.
Additionally, the Business Ideas Workflow itself (the 5-layer architecture for managing ideas from inbox → Filter+Focus → Roadmap → Tasks) is now documented at 03_Processes/Business-Ideas-Workflow.md and should be used as the process guide for this task.
Task A — Create the /filter-focus-refresh Skill
Section titled “Task A — Create the /filter-focus-refresh Skill”Create a Claude Code skill at ~/.claude/commands/filter-focus-refresh.md that automates the periodic process of promoting ideas from brainstorming files into Filter+Focus.md.
The skill should:
- Accept an optional
[vault-path]argument (default: current working directory) - Read all files in
_WorkingOn/Brainstorming/and any task files specified as brainstorming sources - Extract distinct ideas not already captured in
Filter+Focus.md - Apply the ranking criteria from Filter+Focus.md: Scalability × Growth Impact × Ease of early execution
- Present a proposed additions list ranked against the existing items
- On Talbot approval, update
Filter+Focus.mdwith the new items integrated into the appropriate rank positions (Format 1: All Rocks Ranked, and Format 2: By Category) - Update the
date-refreshedfield in Filter+Focus.md - Suggest any existing items whose priority may have changed given the new ideas
The skill should be reviewed with /simplify after writing and tested before marking complete.
Task B — Apply the Skill: Refresh Filter+Focus.md for MBR
Section titled “Task B — Apply the Skill: Refresh Filter+Focus.md for MBR”Run the /filter-focus-refresh skill on the MBR KB, sourcing new ideas from:
/mnt/d/FSS/KB/MBR/_WorkingOn/Tasks/Threats-Weaknesses.md(all Claude Response brainstorming sections)- Any other brainstorming files added since 2026-04-02
Produce an updated 02_Strategy/Filter+Focus.md that:
- Incorporates all significant new ideas from the brainstorming sessions
- Re-ranks them against the existing 53 items
- Maintains all three formats (All Rocks Ranked, By Category, By Phase)
- Adds a “date-refreshed” field to the frontmatter
After update, confirm which new items have entered the Top 10 ranked rocks and which items (if any) have been displaced.
